A watchmaker's work is precise by requirement and designer Matthew Lerch has taken his experience as a watchmaker and applied it to his knife making. The CRKT Up & At 'Em builds off of the minimalist Flat Out design but delivers a more robust and hard working platform while retaining the sleek aesthetic. The Up & At 'Em has handles that are elegantly satin finished with subtle milled steps and finger grooves and form the solid, integral liner lock mechanism. Thanks to flipper deployment the knife can be operated completely single handed to get the job done fast.

Blade: A utilitarian clip point blade is made from thin stock with a shallow hollow grind that delivers a good balance of durability and slicing performance with a fine piercing point for detailed cutting tasks. The blade open fast and smooth via the index flipper. The two-tone satin finish of the blade enhances performance and adds to the stylish look.

Handle: The handles are made from solid stainless steel with a horizontal satin finish delivering a stylish look. The slim yet robust handle design carries very well and offers a solid grip thanks to generous finger grooves. When open the flipper tab doubles as a prominent index finger guard for added security. The simple and solid integral frame lock offers reliable lock up and smooth operation.

8Cr13MoV Stainless: is a highly corrosion resistant stainless steel with decent toughness and edge holding. This steel is in the same class as 440B and AUS-8.
