Curtiss Knives F-3 Medium Standard Flipper XHP

The F-3 Medium Flipper from Curtiss Knives is a class leader. It's an excellent size with fiery flipping action and a wicked Compound ground CTS-XHP blade. This one is new direct from maker David Curtiss.

The Blade: This modified tanto is crafted from premium CTS-XHP stainless Carpenter Steel and has an aggressive compound grind. Very pointy, very slicey. A flipper tab has light texturing for easy firing and doubles as a finger guard. It's an absolute rocket out of the handle as it flies on a caged bearings S.P.O.T. Pivot system. This system not only creates the lightning fast action, but prevents stop pin and lock bar over travel. Dave produced a user-friendly satin/stonewash finish to hide the daily grind. He also added some aggressive jimping to the spine as well for a nice, grippy thumb ramp.

The Handle: Fully blasted and dark stonewashed titanium frame is thick, dark and worn-in looking. Very hardcore apocalyptic feeling. The handle is very comfortable, ergonomic and perfect for any medium sized hand. This knife has early, solid lock up thanks to a frame lock mechanism with D2 tool steel lockbar insert. The steel insert creates smooth, easy disengagement of the lock bar to close the knife. Finishing touches include a small, notched titanium backspacer and tip up carry Curtiss Crosshairs titanium pocket clip for carry.

The standard F-3 Medium Flipper from Curtiss Knives would make an excellent addition to any rotation.
