D Rocket Design MaximX Flipper Blasted M390 Titanium Frame Lock Folder 0033
The D Rocket Design MaximX is the larger version of a potential SpaceX company knife design, the MinimalX. It retains the matte gray finish, eye-catching 6 face blade grinds and deep fullers that make this such a visual stand out. A high speed bearing driven inline flipper, the MaximX carries slim while delivering the performance and capabilities of a full size blade. This version features a solid handle front.
Brand new, direct from D Rocket Design.
Blade: A chisel like Tanto profile blade made of blasted gray M390 stainless steel has milled fullers for balance, strength, and style. Milled with six facets, the blade has a full length swedge, a chisel like forward edge and primary saber grind. Scrape, cut and slice, this blade does it all with plenty of cutting edge for the majority of tasks. Bearing pivot flipper deployment is fast, smooth, and ambidextrous.
Handle: Joined in a faux integral construction, the contoured titanium handle is clean, comfortable and rock solid with an easy to operate jimped integral frame lock. Additional jimping on the frame provides solid traction for a secure grip. The large handle offers a full grip for most users. Includes padded hard plastic case for transport and storage.
Carries via a right-hand 3D titanium clip.
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance, while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
