Direware Tailwhip Titanium Frame Lock Flipper Marbled Carbon Fiber S110V

The Direware Tailwhip titanium frame lock flipper which offers a more slim, pocket friendly design while retaining the robust, overbuilt quality that is the trademark of Direware knives. Direware builds them one at a time with an eye for precision and detail making each knife a unique piece. This version is made from blasted titanium and gorgeous marbled carbon fiber with a compound ground CPM S110V blade.

The Blade: Made from beefy ⁵⁄₃₂" thick S110V steel, the Tailwhip offers a great balance of cutting performance and durability with its eye-catching compound grind. The flats have a media blast finish while the grinds and swedge are machine satin finished. The full length swedge in combination with the shallow hollow ground tip gives excellent power and control for piercing and detail work. The main grind is a high-height hollow grind delivers powerful slicing performance for heavy work. The blade rides on a bearing pivot for fast, smooth flipper deployment.

The Handle: Thick and subtly contoured scales offer a comfortable, ergonomic feel. The front scale is crafted from beautiful marbled carbon fiber for a classy look. The reverse is a media blasted titanium frame lock mechanism that offers flawless, reliable operation. Comes standard with a media blast finished, 3D machined titanium clip for tip-up, right hand carry. Construction is completed with Blue anodized Titanium backspacer and custom pivot hardware.

About CPM S110V: Crucible Steel S110V is made through their Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process for a fine grain structure. The high carbide volume of the steel makes this one of the most wear resistant stainless steels available. What this means for you: CPM S110V is going to be exceptionally good in edge retention on abrasive materials and highly corrosion resistance. The trade off is that is slightly more difficult to sharpen but still manageable with diamond or similar abrasives.
