DPx Gear HEST II Assault fixed blade knife featuring a full tang of Niolox with good edge-retaining, and wear-resistance. Titanium Carbo-Nitride (TiCN) PVD coating of the blade has been given a worn in stonewashed look.Thick hollow American-made Black G10 handle scales are attached via 304 stainless steel hybrid slotted/Allen screws for survival storage. Features include a bottle opener/pry/thumb grip, 3 sizes of wire strippers/thumb ramp, 1/4" hex driver and pry bar at the base of the tang. Includes Black Cordura tactical MOLLE sheath with protective insert and front storage pouch. Designed by adventurer Robert Young Pelton and produced by LionSTEEL in Italy.
About Niolox Stainless Steel: A German steel considered a "Special Wear" stainless steel, Niolox offers excellent hardness and edge retention. At an HRC of 61, Niolox gains its stainless qualities from Vanadium and Niobium rather than the traditionally used Chromium.
