This hard-use tactical folder is outfitted with "Afghan Tan" G10 handle scales for use in desert environments. Blade: The blade of the Desert CQC-7V is made from American 154CM in a double v-grind found on most modern knives making it easy to maintain for experience users The V-Grind offers more directional control over chisel grinds for utility use. The blade delivers a razor sharp cutting edge and high level durability thanks to the full thickness at the spine. The Tanto point is robust and powerful for hard use piercing tasks and delivers additional control for fine cuts. The two-tone tumble/satin finish is clean, classic and sharp. The blade deploys ambidextrously via the thumb disk or Wave feature.
Handle: Emerson knife handles have a "no nonsense" design with durable titanium liners and coarse G10 handle scales that offer superb traction in the hand in the most adverse conditions. One liner forms the locking mechanism that is reliable and easy to operate even in gloves. This version has an open back construction with standoffs for ease of cleaning and maintenance. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment and the right hand, tip-up black oxide finished pocket clip provides secure carry.
Crucible 154cm: is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum offering improved corrosion resistance and edge retention, as well as a higher level wear resistance.
