The Custom Mula Front Flipper from maker Enrique Peña is a slim, every day carry folder with clean lines and a functional design. The Mula strikes a perfect balance of robust construction and elegant design with a minimal front flipper design for fast operation without an excessive foot print in the pocket. This version comes with a hand rubbed satin finished CPM-154 blade, hole-milled titanium front scale and carbon fiber backspacer.

Blade: The Mula offers just under 3 inches of hair-popping cutting edge on a utilitarian drop point blade of American CPM-154. An upper swedge grind brings the tip down to a nice point for piercing if necessary. Some short jimping on the upper ramp offers added traction and a perfect thumb placement. Jimping extends onto the front flipper tab for decisive deployment on the caged bearing pivot. The hand-rubbed horizontal satin finish gives this piece a beautiful and truly custom look.

Handle: Two thick titanium scales have a grey bead-blast finish with polished chamfer milled holes on the front for weight reduction and traction. The frame lockup is perfect, early and rock solid. Disengagement is easily performed one-handed. The knife construction is completed with satin finished titanium hardware and a carbon fiber partial backspacer.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up milled titanium pocket clip. Includes Peña embroidered black nylon zipper pouch for carry and storage.

CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
