The Blade: A full flat ground blade of black coated AUS-8 delivers excellent slicing performance. AUS-8 is highly stain resistant, even more so with the black coating, and tough for a stainless steel making it a great choice for carry in high humidity areas or where extended water exposure is a possibility. The blade deploys via dual thumb studs and sports jimping on the spine just like its fixed blade counterpart. The black finish also make this version more discreet in use.

The Handle: This no-nonsense knife has a full sized handle that offers more functional grip area than the ESEE 3 fixed blade on which it is patterned. A tough, Black G10 front scale offers added traction and keeps the weight to a very manageable +4 ounces while the black coated stainless steel frame lock construction provides rock solid lockup and smooth operation. An open back construction makes for easy cleaning and maintenance. The all black finish on this variant does not draw the eye making it more inconspicuous during use and carry.

The Medellin carries via a reversible, right hand only deep carry clip for tip up/down with a hole at the pommel for optional lanyard attachment.
