Expanding on the popular Core flipper design, Danish custom knife maker Jesper Voxnaes has again collaborated with Fox Knives of Italy to produce the Scandi Core Fixed Blade. As the name suggests, the Fixed Core substitutes the slicing full flat grind with a more robust Scandinavian grind capable of handling nearly all your outdoor cutting tasks with Becut stainless steel delivering the durability and low-maintenance you want in an outdoor fixed blade. Ergonomically contoured polymer handles retain the Doppler Honeycomb pattern for traction and style with the versatile design offering comfort in multiple grip positions. This version comes with a satin finished blade and black polymer handles.

Blade: Made from German Becut stainless steel, the blade of the Fixed Core is satin finished with a Scandinavian or 'Scandi' grind that is popular in Bushcrafting do to the excellent durability in tasks like batoning while offering controlled cutting for fine wood craft tasks. Jimping on the spine works well to strike a ferro rod for fire starting as well as providing add traction during use.

Handle: Like the Core folder, the Scandi Core comes with a Doppler Honeycomb pattern polymer handle. The fixed blade version has a hidden tang for comfort in cold environment and decreased maintenance without sacrificing durability. A generous palm swell fills the hand with finger groove for added safety and a pronounced taper toward the pommel for a secure grip. A hole in the pommel is provided for lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Carries via a plastic lined nylon pouch sheath with snap closure belt loop for secure carry.

Becut Stainless Steel: Similar to Niolox with added vanadium for enhanced wear resistance, Becut is a German stainless steel, with good edge holding and high toughness. Contains niobium, one of the best carbide forming elements. Wear resistance and edge stability are significantly better than D2 with a finer grain for razor sharpness and excellent corrosion resistance.
