The Tidioute Cutlery #88 Bayou Trapper is something of a hybrid with a Stockman style handle, two-blade Trapper blade setup and Muskrat clip point and Lambsfoot blades. A Pattern Production Premiere, the Bayou Trapper will be great for users and collectors alike with a unique style and timeless GEC build quality. This version comes with black linen Micarta covers and Spade shield.
Brand new, direct from Great Eastern Cutlery.
Blade: Satin finished carbon steel blades open from the same end in classic Trapper fashion with strong spring tension and a snappy half stop. Both blades, a Muskrat clip and tapered Lambsfoot, open via nail nicks and feature 'Ace of Spades' and 'PPP' logo etching respectively.
Handle: Built on a traditional brass liner and pin construction, the stout handle sports nickel silver bolsters framing handsome black linen Micarta covers for a solid grip and warm feel in the hand. The full length back springs protect the blades when closed and deliver solid slip joint operation with good walk and talk.
1095 Carbon Steel: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, 1095 can be differentially heat treated (hard edge/soft spine) for optimized performance.
