Details

The Tidioute model 15 Barlow is a classic, traditional profile, single blade slip joint folder that has a timeless appeal. The Barlow pattern originated in Sheffield England, but it is American as “apple pie” thanks to the popularity in postcolonial America. True to the original, GEC's All Steel #15 has a single, spear blade, teardrop handle and long bolsters marked "TC" for Tidioute Cutlery. This version comes with a satin finished blade and Glitter Gold acrylic covers.

Brand new, direct from Great Eastern Cutlery, USA.

Limited to 1 knife per household - Thank you

Blade: This utilitarian slip joint folding knife has a flat ground, satin finished 1095 carbon steel blade that handles a variety of daily cutting tasks with ease. A spear point swedge tapers the blade to a fine point for piercing and detail work termination at the long pull for opening with snappy half stop for added safety. The blade is etched "Good As Gold" "Tidioute Cutlery Trademark" along with the standard blade stamp markings.

Handle: The teardrop shaped handle has stainless liners supporting securely pinned acrylic covers for a stylish look and comfortable feel. Polished, long stainless bolsters at the pivot are flush fit to the scales. A strong, full length stainless back spring and brass pins round out construction.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
