The Great Eastern Cutlery #86 2AB or “Two Acorn Barlow” is a timeless full sized jack knife with peerless fit and finish. Engraved with an oak leaf and acorns that give the knife its name, the trademark long Barlow bolsters provide classic appeal. Flush fit to the bolsters are handsome red & black linen Micarta covers for modern performance along with the 440C stainless steel blade.

Blade: The large 440C stainless clip point blade opens with a snappy half stop via a classic nail nick and has a full flat grind for optimal performance. The blade has a GEC shield and “Practical Knives” etched on the front.

Handle: Fit perfectly between polished nickel silver bolsters are linen Micarta covers, delivering a full size handle with a subtle taper toward the blade-end. Construction is classic brass liner and pin with strong stainless steel back springs for secure slip joint operation. Each GEC knife ships rolled in wax paper in a sturdy tube with company information on the front. 

440C Stainless Steel: The basis for many modern steels, AISI 440C offers a good balance of corrosion resistance and edge retention with relative ease of sharpening. Good all around budget stainless steel.
