Blade: Located at the bolster end of the handle are two satin finished carbon steel blades, a large Sheepsfoot and mid-sized pen blade. Both blades open with a snappy half stop via a classic nail nick and have a full flat grind for optimal performance. The primary blade has an Angus cow etched on the front.
Handle: Fit perfectly between polished nickel silver bolsters are Macassar Ebony wood covers, delivering a full size handle with a subtle taper toward the blade-end. Construction is classic brass liner and pin with strong stainless steel back springs for secure slip joint operation. Each GEC knife ships rolled in wax paper in a sturdy tube with company information on the front.
1095 Carbon Steel: Popular, simple carbon steel used extensively by production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear (edge retention) due to low carbide content and easy to sharpen to a fine edge. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
