• Small 1095 Carbon Steel Wharncliffe Blade - A dead straight edge and a fine point, ground thin for detail work. 1095 sharpens fast on almost any stone and takes a screaming edge. It is carbon steel and will rust if left damp, so wipe it dry and give it a drop of oil.
• Osage Orange Wood Covers & Nickel Silver Bolster - One of the densest woods on the continent, sanded flat and pinned with brass. It leaves the bench a bright gold and darkens toward amber with sunlight and pocket time. No two sets of scales age the same way.
