Helle Knives Temagami LTD Les Stroud 14C28N Curly Birch Semi Full Tang Fixed Blade Knife

A 2011 design collaboration between Les Stroud (a.k.a. Survivorman) and Helle Knives, the Temagami CA is a versatile semi-full tang knife with a blend of modern and traditional design that produces a truly exceptional outdoor cutting tool. This limited edition tenth anniversary 2021 Temagami has a blade of solid Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel and a curly birch handle.

Blade: The full sized drop point blade tapers to a fine point for a versatile shape that handles fine tasks and heavy work with ease. The 3/4 full tang make this blade solid and reliable whatever the duty. A razor sharp modified Scandinavian delivers exceptional slicing power with a small micro bevel for greater durability and ease of sharpening. The high polish satin finish gives the blade a classic look. Sandvik 14C28N offers excellent, balanced performance with a 90 degree spine for fire making and ferro rod striking.

Handle: Heavy brass rivets attach the handsome curly birchwood scales to the 3/4 width full. The semi-full tang construction offers the increased durability of a full tang with enhanced cold weather performance. Warm and secure in hand, the handle provides a full four finger grip with generous pommel swell and forward guard for ease of draw and added safety.

Carries via a traditional Nordic hand stitched leather belt sheath.

Sandvik 14C28N: 13C26 modified with more chromium and nitrogen added for higher hardness and improved corrosion resistance. Like 13C26, 14C28N is well-balanced with good toughness, corrosion resistance and stability for a fine, razor edge. Edge retention is higher than carbon steel with similar toughness and the benefit of being stainless.
