The Heretic Knives Manticore-S is the smallest of the Manticore Series of double action, out the front, automatic knives. The scaled down Manticore-S has the same countered, 3D machined, aircraft grade aluminum handle with traction scallops around the edge for a comfortable and secure grip in the hand. This version comes with a stonewashed, CPM MagnaCut double edge blade and black anodized handle.

Blade: The long double edge blade combines a slim look with powerful hollow grind cutting potential. Stonewashed CPM MagnaCut provides an optimal balance of performance outfitted in a heavy stonewashed finish that hides wear from use. It deploys via a dual action automatic mechanism for fast, smooth operation. Simply press the thumb slide up to open and then back down to close.

Handle: Fluted black hard anodized aluminum offers enough real estate for a solid grip with no excess for ease of carry. Contoured handles have smooth chamfered edges paired with strategically placed scallops and fluted milling for a perfect blend of comfort and traction. The flats are sterile with company, model and serial number markings on the spine for a clean look. Rear mount Torx hardware, an integral lanyard hole and hardened steel glass breaker round out the construction.

CPM-MagnaCut: Developed by metallurgist Larrin Thomas (Knife Steel Nerds) MagnaCut is a powder metallurgy steel designed to deliver balanced high-performance with high hardness (up to 65 Rc), similar toughness to CPM-4V, and corrosion resistance better than M390, similar to LC200N. Sharpening is relatively easy, between CPM-154 and S35VN/S45VN. For an all around steel Magnacut is tough to beat.
