The Manticore-X is the largest of Heretic Knives' Manticore Series of double action, out-the-front automatics. A countered aircraft grade aluminum handle has strategic edge scallops for a comfortable and secure grip in the hand, while the blade delivers excellent cutting performance. This Bowie version comes with a two-tone Battleworn Elmax blade, black anodized aluminum frame and G10 slide.

Blade: The long, clip point blade has a hollow saber grind that combines powerful cutting performance with the piercing power of the Bowie style clip. The blade has a two-tone finish: blasted and tumbled Battleworn finish on the grinds and swedge and fine satin on the flats for rugged yet classy style. Double action automatic operation is fast and smooth. Press the G10 thumb slide up to open and down to close.

Handle: Milled, black anodized aluminum pairs delivers a handle long enough for extra large or gloved hands. Contoured milling and smooth edges pair with strategically placed scallops for excellent comfort and traction. The front and back of the handles are sterile, with all markings on the spine of the frame. Battleworn Torx hardware, an integral lanyard hole and inset hardened steel glass breaker complete the construction.

Carries via a right hand, tip-down, Battleworn stainless steel deep carry clip.

Bohler Elmax: Bohler Elmax is a popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. Elmax has similar performance to the American CPM-S30V/S35VN, falling between the two in terms of edge retention and toughness, with S35VN level corrosion resistance and similar sharpening response.
