Heretic dresses the NYX V2 Tanto in Two Tone Black Tactical, right down to the hardware. The Magnacut tanto rides a silky nylon-based button that punches it out and pulls it back with equal force.

• Two Tone Black Magnacut Tanto - A reinforced tanto point leads for piercing straps and hard plastic. It trades some belly for that strength. Magnacut is a stainless powder steel that shrugs off rust and stays tough. The Two Tone Black Tactical finish runs dark from tip to hardware.
• Flow-Through Chassis - The black aluminum frame is fully flow-through, open from end to end. Grit has a way out instead of a place to pack. A reworked internal base maximizes the room inside for blade. A low-profile glass breaker caps the end.
• Double-Action OTF - The NYX V2 button system rides on nylon bases for a smooth, crisp slide. Push it forward and the blade launches out hard. Pull it back and the blade snaps home with the same authority.
• C-Clip Construction - A C-clip system holds the NYX V2 together with no traditional body screws. The only screws left anchor the ambidextrous pocket clip, which carries tip-down on either side. The handle sides stay clean and unbroken.

The Heretic NYX

The NYX is the compact OTF from Heretic Knives, named for the Greek goddess of night. Tony Marfione Jr. designed it around one of the best blade-to-handle ratios in its class. The V2 pushes that idea further, reworking the chassis from the inside to give the blade every bit of room the handle allows. It slips into a dress-pants pocket with no bulge to give it away.
