This Gen 2 Working Finish Harpoon Spanto Eklipse Flipper from Rick Hinderer Knives sporting an OD Green G10 handle scale and premium CPM 20CV blade steel. This second generation has a larger overall frame than the first gen allowing for a wider variety of blade styles. This version has a Harpoon Spanto blade profile with a rugged Working Finish on both the blade and frame.

The Blade: 3.5 inch Harpoon Spanto is perfect for tactical, piercing tasks while still being very utilitarian. The Working Finish (a tumbled, dark bead blast finish) on the 20CV blade is rugged, non-reflective, and hides wear over time while maintaining an attractive look. It operates via two thumb studs or integral flipper tab on Rick's own 17-4PH state-of-the-art pivot system creating clean, smooth function over the life of the knife. Flipping action is quite easy and smooth. The upper harpoon swedge really sets this blade apart and a section of jimping on the spine makes the perfect thumb rest.
The Handle: The same Gen 1 styling you love on just a bit larger platform. The finger grooves, shape and texturing fit the hand like a glove. It's a harmoniously ergonomic experience designed with comfort in mind. This version is dressed in OD Green G10 secured to a titanium liner with a Working Finish titanium frame lock on the back. All the standard Hinderer features are present from the Lockbar Stabilizer to open construction and a Ti pocket clip that can be flipped to tip up carry.
The Eklipse Gen 2 is an outstanding package for the first responder, tactical operator or 9-5er.
About CPM-20CV: A highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, the steel contains a large volume of extremely hard vanadium carbides which provide excellent wear resistance.
