The Jared Price Custom Ptarmigan Lightweight is a hand built, compact, everyday carry flipper with clean lines and stunning visual appeal. This Ptarmigan Lightweight is equipped with a satin finished CTS-XHP blade with compound ground Tanto profile, Fatcarbon Carbon Fiber front scale and orange peel textured titanium frame lock construction with matching clip.

Blade: The compound ground blade is made from satin finished CTS-XHP and features a flat ground Tanto point and hollow ground, recurve primary cutting edge for the best in piercing and slicing performance. The index flipper guard and spine jimping offer added security in the grip and the blade deploys fast and smooth on the ball bearing pivot. The front of the blade is marked with the JRP logo on the flat.

Handle: The handles of the Ptarmigan have a clean, minimalist design while still being handsome and ergonomic. The front scale is made from exotic Fatcarbon Carbon Fiber which is visually striking while the back is a solid titanium frame lock construction for smooth operation and secure lockup. Both scales are contoured for comfort in hand. Titanium Torx hardware and a partial backspacer of carbon fiber complete the construction with a hole provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, machined titanium pocket clip with orange peel finish.

Includes embroidered nylon zipper pouch.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon stainless steel that combines the exceptional corrosion resistance of 440C and wear resistance similar to D2. Thanks to the unique composition and its ability to attain a high hardness, CTS XHP has edge retention somewhere between S30V and ZDP 189. An excellent choice for any knife that is going to see a lot of use.
