South African gun smith, outdoorsman and custom knife maker Jason Guthrie offers the Rover as has his ultimate, compact every day carry folder. It has the same clean design lines, refined construction, precision fit and finish, and premium materials as his Ranger models but in a package that is more suited to urban or office carry than his larger blades. This left handed version comes with a satin finished, M390, Sheepsfoot blade, blue anodized, Raindrop pattern titanium liner lock lock and matching clip and Carbon Fiber scales.

Blade: A simple, flat ground Sheepsfoot blade fits with the minimalist and utilitarian design while still having a high class feel thanks the the hand rubbed satin finish. The Sheepsfoot has a bit more belly than a straight Wharncliffe blade for added utility when cutting on flat surfaces. The blade opens with silky smoothness thanks to tight tolerances and ultra smooth Teflon washers. Made from Bohler M390 stainless steel with a thin edge, this blade is going to deliver top-end cutting performance and worry free maintenance and thanks to the sub-2.5 inch length it is legal in most areas.

Handle: Clean and visually appealing lines are the cornerstone of Jason's designs and the Rover is no exception. The ergonomics are superb despite the compact size and give the knife unparalleled security and control thanks to the well integrated finger choil and jimped spine scoop. The front carbon fiber scale has three skeletonized holes exposing the Raindrop pattern of the single blue titanium liner lock which is echoed on the pocket clip.

Bohler M390: M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
