The EK50 is the next evolution of the Kabar X John Ek Commando Knife. This short clip point retains the reliable construction of the original with a parkerized 1095 Cro-Van blade, textured Ultramid polymer handles and traditional X-head fasteners. The shorter clip point blade and single forward guard makes the EK50 a versatile and easy to carry cutting tool.

Blade: Full tang 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel comes with a matte black parkerized finish and John Ek logo etch. The short harpoon clip point profile is great for piercing and slicing with a high saber grind for strength and cutting performance. A small choil makes for easy sharpening while the single guard delivers added safety in use.

Handle: The tang of the blade supports textured black Ultramid polymer handles attached with traditional X-head fasteners made from black finished steel to match the blade. Contours provide a secure and comfortable grip for heavy use while the polymer scales keep weight down with optimal durability and weather resistance.

Sheath: Carries via a US-made Celcon sheath with nylon drop loop.

1095 Cro-Van: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, 1095 can be differentially heat treated for better performance. Cro-Van indicates added alloying elements that improve wear resistance and toughness.
