Blade: Durable and wear resistant, the stonewashed D2 tool steel blade opens fast and smooth via the dual thumb studs or index flipper powered by SpeedSafe assist for reliable deployment every time. A high saber grind and reverse Tanto point make the blade rugged for heavy use with spine jimping for enhanced traction in the hand.

Handle: Contoured and grooved glass-filled nylon scales are supported by stainless steel liners for a rugged, weather resistant and easy to maintain handle construction. The liner lock is smooth, reliable and easy to operate for safe, secure use while a carbide glass breaker end and locking short throw belt cutter added utility to the rescue specific design.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. With a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) D2 offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. With a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance D2 is a well-balanced, all around knife steel.
