Designed by Danish custom knife maker Jens Anso, the Kapsule fills a unique place in the Kershaw line up: this is their first manual out-the-front knife. Perfect for everyday carry, the Kapsule is compact, lightweight, fun and functional. The spear-like stainless steel blade slides in and out of the handle via a blue anodized button that doubles as the lock while glass-filled nylon scales skin the knife for a solid grip. In the pocket or on your keychain, the Kapsule is an easy choice for discreet daily carry.

Blade: Stonewashed stainless steel delivers well-balanced performance with minimal maintenance on the spear point blade with a mid-height hollow and prominent false edge swedge for balanced slicing and piercing performance. To open simply press down on the button and slide the blade out and reverse to close, much like a classic utility knife. The blade locks in both positions.

Handle: Stainless steel liners support textured and contoured glass-filled nylon handle scales that are lightweight, durable and impervious to the elements. Symmetrical in design, the handle is easy to use for left or right-handed users and has subtle dual guards for safety. The button lock keeps the blade safely open or closed and is anodized a bright blue for a pop of color along with a blue anodized central "liner" with integral lanyard loop perfect for key ring attachment.

Carries via a right hand, tip-down, stainless steel deep carry clip.

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440B. Sharpening should be a breeze.
