The Blade: Crafted in a large-bellied clip point style for every day slicing and more. It has a plain cutting edge shaving sharpened to just over three inches with the slightest harpoon-ish upper swedge grind. A black oxide BlackWash tumble finish and piercing point really set this blade off. It looks as great as it cuts. It fires via a red bullseye-style button that's recessed to the flat of the handle making accidental firings as difficult as possible. Simply press the button in again to fold the blade to the closed position in the handle. 

The Handle: Contoured aluminium handle scales with integrated backspacer are thick black anodized and really lighten the carry load of the Launch 1. The slight finger groove and humped back fit the hand snugly. Kershaw laser-engraved the American Flag on the back of the handle. For easy every day carry, a tip up pocket clip comes affixed to the handle that can be reversed for left hand carry.
