The Launch 9 has a sub-2 inch, CPM-154 Drop Point blade and is a great little backup that looks good, acts fast and carries very well so you will not be weighed down wherever you carry it. This one is perfect for the pocket, pouch, pack or purse. This version comes with a stonewashed blade and Teal anodized aluminum handle.

Blade: Executed in a utilitarian drop point profile, the blade is capable for general everyday slicing and piercing tasks. At just under two inches with a long upper fuller, the blade has a plain cutting edge sharpened to a razor edge and stonewashed for a rugged, wear hiding look. Deployment is via the bullseye-style button that is recessed to the flat of the handle, preventing unintentional activation. A powerful coil spring mechanism delivers lightening quick and reliable operation at the simple press of the button. Press again to close the blade for carry.

Handle: Contoured aluminum handle scales feature a straightforward, comfortable design. Along with an integrated back spacer, the handle is finished with a solid anodized finish. Milled for a secure grip, the pommel end has a generous hole for inline lanyard attachment.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up only, deep carry pocket clip.

CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
