Insipired by an old school cassette tape, the Kershaw Knives Mixtape Manual Folder offers a little nostalgia to go along with its razor sharp edge. Strategically designed to save on weight, features include a reverse tanto blade and glass-filled nylon handle with inset liner lock. Perfect for day-to-day cutting, this folder is sure to be a go-to when it comes to EDC.
Brand new directly from Kershaw Knives.
Blade: Piercing tip with a full belly, the reverse tanto style blade with faux swedge is versatile, sharp and good looking. An ambidextrous thumb disc allows for quick deployment of the tumbled 8Cr13MoV stainless blade.
Handle: To maintain a lightweight, yet robust feel on this 7.25" overall folder, Kershaw opted for a glass-filled nylon handle frame with inset liner lock. A window through the handle adds to the vibe of the knife while reducing weight even further. Single position right-hand tip-up stainless steel clip has been tumbled to match the blade and has a sleek hidden attachment point.
8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
