The Intrepid Flipper from Kizer Knives and maker Ray Laconico combines so many great features into one full-sized folding package. The blade, the flipping action, the handle feel...it's tough to beat.
The Blade: Hollow ground easy to get razor sharp VG-10 stainless steel has a gorgeous Ti-Coated satin finish. When closed, the Intrepid appears to be a smaller knife but in all actuality the user can expect over 3.5 inches of cutting edge. Plenty for every day cutting tasks and then some. It flips like a dream on its ball bearing pivot instilling confidence when called upon.
The Handle: Textured Green G-10 handle scales are secured to stainless steel liners, with one forming the lock and the other with weight reducing cutouts. The texturing of the G-10 is spot on. Not aggressive in any way, just right for every day use. It has a 75% Green G10 backspacer for reinforced hard-use toughness. There is a good-sized lanyard hole and single position tip-up carry pocket clip.
If you're looking for a new, reliable bang-for-your-buck flipper then the Intrepid from Kizer is for you. So much goodness here. It comes with a Kizer microfiber cloth.
