The Kizer Lan Tanto flipper is a collaboration between seasoned designers Azo and Reyknife to create a multipurpose tactical daily carry folder. As part of the utilitarian Vanguard Series from Kizer the Lan offers performance and high quality construction in a budget friendly platform. This version has a black N690 blade, matching liners and grid milled black G10 scales.

Blade: Practical and tactical, the compound ground Tanto blade has a tapered swedge and flat ground forward edge for powerful piercing and a hollow ground primary edge for exceptional slicing performance. The forward edge of the Tanto also works well for detail work, especially cutting on flat surfaces. Made from Bohler N690 stainless steel, the blade is easy to maintain with balanced performance in daily use and black coated for added corrosion resistance and discreet carry and use. A ball bearing pivot makes deployment fast and smooth via the dual thumb studs, with jimping on the spine added for traction and control.

Handle: Flush fit, black coated stainless steel liners support grid milled black G10 handle scales for exceptional traction and durable modern performance. The liners are skeletonized for weight reduction and balance. One liner forms the locking mechanism and is smooth to operate, delivering secure, solid lockup for safe use. Construction is completed with black hardware, dual barrel spacers and a lanyard hole. Three holes for clip mounting allow for discreet extra deep carry or standard deep carry.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, stainless steel deep carry clip.

Bohler N690: N690 is a high quality stainless steel, considered an upgrade to 440C. It has higher hardness and wear resistance for better edge retention while sacrificing some toughness. Corrosion resistance is high, at or better than VG-10. Easy to sharpen, this is a well-balanced steel for daily carry and use.
