Custom knife maker Ray Laconico is well known for his clean and streamlined designs, and the production collaboration Kizer Yorkie is a perfect example. A compact daily carry folder, the Yorkie has a simple, robust titanium frame lock construction and utilitarian, sub-3 inch drop point S35VN blade. This version has a solid, matte gray titanium handle and stonewashed blade.

Blade: Made of stonewashed CPM-S35VN, the drop point blade is fully flat ground for optimal slicing performance balanced with durability and tapers to a fine point for piercing and detail work. A ball bearing pivot and dialed in detent make deployment fast, smooth and decisive via the index flipper, while the stonewashed finish hides wear from heavy use. The just over 2.5 inch blade length is more than enough to handle daily cutting tasks while being legal to carry in most areas.

Handle: Matte gray titanium slabs are contoured and chamfered for comfort and have a subtle "dog bone" taper in the center for a clean, aesthetic design that offers a secure three finger grip. The solid slab construction gives a reassuring heft in the hand, while the flipper tab forms a built-in guard for added safety in use. One slab is cut with the integral frame lock and equipped with a steel lock face and over travel stop for reliable, rock solid operation and safe use. Includes a Velcro nylon pouch for storage.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, 3D machined titanium pocket clip.

CPM-S35VN: A modified version of S30V designed for improved toughness over and easier machining and polish. Toughness is improved roughly 15-20%, with a slight decrease in wear resistance (edge retention). Corrosion resistance is also lightly higher, close to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel for daily use.
