This Leatherman Skeletool KB comes in Sandstorm Tan, brown running into beige, with a Cerakote blade to match the scales. The pocket clip doubles as a bottle opener, so an everyday carry knife this small still does two jobs.

• Sandstorm Tan Cerakote Scales & Blade - Sandstorm Tan shades from brown to beige across the aluminum scales, and the 420HC blade takes Cerakote too. The ceramic-based coating stands up to abrasion, wear and corrosion, and here it runs over both halves of the knife.
• Pocket Clip with Bottle Opener - The clip is stainless steel, set for tip-down carry, and shaped at the end to lift a bottle cap. It unscrews if you would rather carry the knife loose in a pocket or drop it into a sheath, and it goes back on the same way.
• Skeletonized Frame & Scales - Leatherman cut holes through the frame and the scales, which is where the Skeletool name comes from and where the weight went. What is left is a 420 stainless frame, aluminum scales, and a finished knife lighter than a golf ball.
• 420HC Drop Point & Liner Lock - The blade runs 420HC stainless in a modified drop point with a plain edge, an easy steel to bring back to sharp on a stone. A liner lock catches it open and holds firm, and your thumb pushes the liner across to fold it away.

The Leatherman Skeletool KB carries a blade and a bottle opener and nothing else. The Skeletool frame it rides on was drawn in 2007 around a brief to pack the most function possible into the least weight, and the answer was to cut holes through everything that did not have to be solid. Leatherman still builds it that way out of Portland, Oregon.
