LionSteel KUR Flipper Santos Wood Black PVD Sleipner Liner Lock Folder

The LionSteel KUR tactical folding knife was designed by Michele "Molletta" Pensato. This is the big brother to the T.R.E. with a larger platform and more robust, hard use design. This version comes equipped with Santos Wood handles that are both rustic and handsome lending it to carry in both urban and outdoor environs.

The Blade:The utilitarian drop point blade profile has a flat grind for great slicing ability and is made from wear resistant Sleipner tool steel. The stonewashed black PVD is rugged and wears well with time as well as being more discreet in use. The crowned spine of the blade adds an element of class. An IKBS thrust bearing pivot system delivers fast flipper deployment and smooth operation. The flipper doubles as a guard when attached but can be removed for areas that require two-hand opening for carry. Includes tool and filler screw.

The Handle: Thick Santos Wood handle scales have a 3D machined texture for grip with being easy on the pockets and the hands. The scales have been machined out to accept tumbled, PVD coated, steel liners that give the knife strength while reducing the overall weight. A relief cut in the top scale provides easy access to the steel liner lock. A titanium backspacer gives great balance in the hand and provides a lanyard attachment point for carry.

The wood handled versions of the KUR do not come with a pocket clip.

Sleipner : is a cold work tool steel from Bohler-Uddeholm with an attainable hardness of 60-64 Hrc. This modification of the classic AISI D2 tool steel, Sleipner has improved toughness compared to D2 with good wear and chipping resistance. Lionsteel has had better edge holding performance compared to M390.
