LionSteel M2 Olive Wood Handle D2 Tool Steel Full Tang Blade

The M2 from LionSteel is a well-rounded fixed blade which suits itself well to everything from outdoors chores to general everyday carry. This knife has an extremely ergonomic handle and contoured olive wood handle scales. Built for performance this version has a D2 tool steel blade and olive wood handle.

Blade: The LionSteel M4 has a full flat ground full bellied drop point blade made of a full tang of D2 Tool Steel. D2 is highly regarded for its edge retention abilities making this knife a prime candidate for daily carry. Its surface has a satin finish and the edge is razor sharp out of the box.

Handle: If there is a more comfortable handle on a fixed blade we haven't discovered it yet. The M2 has well contoured olive wood handle scales attached via Torx screws for easy cleaning and maintenance. A hole is drilled in the pommel for lanyard attachment for enhanced retention and customization.

Sheath: The sheath is made from high quality leather with well spaced stitching and a belt snap for security. The entire sheath is made in Italy and has a belt loop as the single carry option.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. With a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) D2 offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. With a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance D2 is a well-balanced, all around knife steel.
