LionSteel M3 Black Micarta Niolox

The M3 from LionSteel is a larger version of the very popular M2 fixed blade made from Niolox Steel. This knife has an extremely ergonomic handle with 3D machined handle scales and a wide, flat ground blade for exceptional slicing performance. Niolox performs like an upgraded D2 with high corrosion resistance and wear resistance for extended edge holding. This model comes with super tough Black Micarta handles and a heavy duty, MOLLE compatible Cordura nylon sheath. Comes brand new in the box directly from LionSteel.

The Blade: The LionSteel M3 has a full flat ground, drop point blade with a crowned spine made from Niolox steel. Niolox is highly wear and corrosion resistant and with a 5mm thick blade stock this knife performs optimally as a hunting and outdoor field knife. Its surface has a satin finish and the edge is razor sharp out of the box.

The Handle: Extremely comfortable and ergonomic, the handle of the M3 will provided a solid platform for hours of work. It has well contoured, 3D machined Black Micarta handle scales attached via torx screws for easy cleaning and maintenance. A single lanyard hole is drilled thru the rear of the handle for additional security in use and carry.

The Sheath: The sheath is made from heavy duty Cordura nylon with MOLLE compatible webbing, an exterior accessory pouch, and 20mm Duraflex attachment points top and bottom.

About Niolox: Lohmann Niolox is a stain resistant tool steel with good edge holding and decent toughness. Even without being a particle metallurgy steel Niolox is a very fine grained steel, which is a positive and aids with edge stability. Performance will be comparable to AISI D2 in terms of wear resistance with better edge stability.
