LionSteel SR-1

The LionSteel SR-1 was the folder that proved a whole handle could be milled from one solid billet. That SOLID integral build, which LionSteel pioneered, leaves the single-piece titanium or aluminum frame with nothing to loosen and no blade play, while a steel-insert frame lock and the Rotoblock safety keep lockup tight. Dual thumb studs open it one-handed, and it carries deep for its size.

The SOLID Integral Build

The SR-1 is machined as one piece. Instead of scales bolted to a liner, the whole frame is milled from a single block of titanium or aluminum, which makes it stiff enough that there is no blade play to chase. The frame lock rides on a hardened steel insert so the softer frame does not wear against the blade tang. It was the first production folder built this way, and the deep-carry clip keeps a large knife riding low.

The Rotoblock System

The Rotoblock is a small rotating block set into the lockbar, and it does two jobs. Day to day, it acts as a lockbar stabilizer, stopping you from pushing the bar too far over when you close the knife. Turned down against the bar, it becomes a second lock that holds the blade open like a fixed blade. On its own the frame lock already snaps in early and stays secure, so the Rotoblock is backup you can call on.
