The Lionsteel T.R.E. Carbon Fiber Flipper with Thor Damasteel is an elegant framelock designed by Michele "Molletta" Pensato and offers a slick and modern take on the classic Gentleman's knife. This variant of the T.R.E. features a patented system that allows the user to carry the knife in three configurations: with the removable thumb disk, with the removable flipper, or with neither. Includes a wooden storage box with additional hardware and torx tool key chain to assist in rapid exchange. New from Lion Steel, Italy.
Blade: Absolutely stunning Thor Damasteel blade upgrades this TRE model. Ground to a traditional drop point, the blade is versatile for the day to day. Features the TRE patented system allowing the user select between a flipper, thumb stud, both or neither with simple torx construction. In any configuration the blade opens smoothly, driven by the IKBS ball-bearing pivot system.
Handle: Composed of precision 3D machined carbon fiber front scale and titanium with framelock, lock-bar insert and built-in overtravel protection. Milled gray titanium backspacer and reversible (right or left) pocket clip for tip-up carry.
Damasteel Stainless Damascus: Damasteel is a high hardness, high corrosion resistant steel that combines two martensitic stainless steels - RWL 34 and PMC 27 - in various patterns that, when etched, create the designs seen in the blade. This delivers a blade that has striking looks and modern performance. Performance should be comparable to CPM-154.
