The WP XL model by Strider Knives is a full sized fixed blade option built with rugged minimalism for ultimate reliability. This piece is made from hand ground PSF-27 in a clip point profile, Black coated and featuring an OD Green paracord wrapped handle. The WP XL is a classic Strider delivering standard-setting reliability and performance.

Blade: A classic clip point profile delivers excellent slicing and piercing performance with a hand ground hollow grind, long upper swedge and straight clip. The nearly ¹⁄₄" thick, full tang blade delivers durability for hard use while the Black coating leaves the WP XL discreetly non-reflective and enhances corrosion resistance. The M. Strider logos/steel type are stamped into the front and back of the blade.

Handle: The oversize paracord wrapped handle fills the hand nicely, accommodating the largest of gloved hands and provides a lanyard extension off the bottom. The handle tapers to a subtle integral guard at the blade for added security. Paracord holds up well in the elements and is easily replaceable if it becomes worn.

Sheath: Carries via a molded Kydex sheath with Velcro loop for attachment.

PSF-27: PSF27 is a tool steel similar in composition to D2 that is produced using a Spray Forming Process which involves melting the steel, pouring it through a ceramic nozzle which breaks it into droplets by an array of gas jets. The droplets collect and build up to form a spray-formed billet. This produces an extremely fine-grained homogeneous steel which offers increased toughness, wear resistance, crack resistance, and higher hardness compared to traditional ingot steel.
