Maxace Corvus Black TC4 Flipper

The Maxace Corvus is a medium sized knife with excellent ergonomics in an overbuilt package. Its large flat ground blade makes it an excellent choice for most cutting tasks, while a slim handle leaves little profile in the pocket. The fit and finish on the Corvus are top-notch, with plenty of attention given to the pivot, backspacer and pocket clip. Comes packaged in a nylon zipper pouch with soft lining and microfiber cloth. The Blade: A Bohler M390 blade was chosen for the Corvus, giving it excellent edge retention for the everyday user. It has an almost full flat grind and satin finish with the Maxace logo etched into the front side, and Corvus M390 on the back. The blade rides on a multi-row bearing system, or MRBS for short and has a smooth yet decisive action. A stepped thumb stud is also attached and can be used to flip the knife open with ease. Each knife comes with a sharp, hair-popping edge.

The Handle: Maxace chose TC4 titanium for the handle, with a darkened and tumbled appearance. The handle has been textured but still has a soft feel in the hand with no sharp edges. Stainless hardware holds the precision milled clip and backspacer in place, and a replaceable steel lock face has been attached to the lock for longevity. A hidden lanyard attachment is present on the backspacer, giving the user a very clean attachment point.

About M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
