The MC-1 Series "Classic Wave" Folder is one of Mcusta's original Basic Folders and offers a clean, functional design for everyday carry with a modern look. The Classic Wave series offers one hand operation and a simple, elegant design with contoured finger grooves for function and style. This version comes with white Corian handles and a San Mai Damascus blade with VG10 core.

Blade: Made from San Mai Damascus with a VG10 stainless steel core the utilitarian clip point blade of the MC-1 is equipped with a shallow hollow grind for excellent slicing performance and a nearly full length top swedge delivering piercing performance and a fine tip for detail work. Damascus offers a striking look with modern performance while the VG10 core provides excellent edge retention and creates a hamon like line. The blade opens smoothly on Teflon washers via dual thumb studs which match the satin pivot hardware.

Handle: The exposed stainless steel liners are seamless and smooth creating the foundation for the satin finished Corian handle scales. Corian is a smooth, durable and stain resistant material often used in counter tops and makes a functional and striking handle material with the satin finish highlighting the unique texture of the material. The grooved milling of the "Classic Wave" scales provides added traction while the clean contours of the handle are ergonomic and comfortable. A liner lock mechanism provides reliable lockup and smooth operation.

San Mai Damascus:VG-10 is a high-carbon stainless steel that takes a very good edge and holds it well. Popular with Japanese kitchen knife makers it is often hardened to 60-61 HRC A popular choice for small pocket knives thanks to good edge holding and stain resistance VG10 works well with a high polished, acute edge for optimal slicing performance. Nickel Damascus cladding enhances durability as well as providing a unique visual appeal.
