Part of the Shinra Premium Series the Mcusta Ripple is a refined and elegant Gentleman's folding knife that blends modern and traditional style. A simple, utilitarian drop point blade is elevated with a San Mai cladding and crowned spine while the brushed stainless bolsters contrast nicely with the warm and organic wood scales. Milled lines that follow the contours of the handle radiate out from edge to spine giving the Ripple its name. All these elements combine to create an excellent Gent's folder for the modern age. This version has a San Mai SPG-2 blade and ironwood scales.

Blade: The simple drop point blade opens smoothly on oiled Teflon washers via dual thumb stud/stop pins for ambidextrous operation. The blade is made of San Mai clad SPG-2 stainless steel for exceptional performance. A crowned spine provides a high class feel while the flat grind delivers balanced slicing and durability.

Handle: Dual steel liners support brushed stainless bolsters and warm, rugged ironwood scales with attractive milled grooves running the length of the handle on both sides. One liner forms the liner lock mechanism providing smooth operation and reliable, rock solid lockup for security in use. A hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a right hand, tip-down stainless steel pocket clip or nylon belt pouch.

San Mai SPG-2: Super Gold 2 (A.K.A. SG2, SPG-2) is a Japanese powder metallurgy stainless steel with a fine microstructure and good toughness. It is a high hardness steel with better toughness and corrosion resistance than S30V and edge retention similar to S35VN. SG2 is easier to sharpen than S30V or Elmax.
