The Medford TFF-1 is the ultimate tactical folder developed for military & law enforcement personnel. This design accommodates tactical operators looking for a space-saving knife carry option while delivering robustness inline with fixed blade knives. The TFF-1 can augment or replace a fixed blade based on need and is built for hard use. This version comes with a Vulcan Finished, Hollow Ground, D2, drop point blade and Tumbled titanium frame with Black PVD coated, stainless steel hardware.

Blade: The utilitarian drop point blade is made from 3/16 " thick D2 Tool Steel that has been given the Medford Vulcan Finish for an interesting yet subdued finish. Ground with a mid-height hollow grind, the TFF-1 delivers a blade that pierces and slices well while retaining a tank-like durability. The blade deploys smoothly on phosphor bronze washers and opens ambidextrously via the large blade hole. A generous finger choil paired with a heavily jimped thumb scoop offers optimal control of the blade as well as enhanced traction and comfort.

Handle: Two beefy slabs of titanium form the handle of the TFF-1 and have been given a dark tumbled finish. Both scales are relatively thin while retaining good durability helping to keep the knife slim and light weight for carry. The back scale forms the integral frame lock mechanism that offers smooth, secure lock up and both scales are milled with strategic jimping for secure traction in multiple grips. The construction is completed with Black PVD coated stainless steel hardware and an open back, standoff construction. An oval hole is milled for lanyard attachment. Both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only 3D Machined Titanium "Medford" pocket clip. Includes an S3 Hard Case for transportation and storage.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
