A knife you will always want close at hand, the Proxima is a more carry friendly version of the Gigantes while still being a formidable cutting tool. Medford's 3/16″ stock construction is used on the aggressive harpoon blade and titanium handle slabs delivers a robust EDC knife with smooth operation via the dual fullers or flipper tab guard. This version has a black PVD coated CPM-S35VN blade and matching titanium handles.

Blade: At nearly four inches in length the harpoon point blade is made from tough, 3/16" thick CPM-S35VN with a mid-height hollow grind and top swedge for devastating slicing and piercing performance. Matte black PVD coating offers added corrosion resistance and a discreetly non-reflective finish with smooth operation thanks to large phosphor bronze washers at the pivot. Ambidextrous deployment is provided via dual stepped fullers and a large index flipper with some wrist action. The flipper as a large and functional hilt guard when open.

Handle: The simple, ergonomic handle is made from 3/16" thick titanium slabs joined by barrel spacers in an open back construction. The slabs have a matching matte black PVD coating for discreet carry and use, with the front scale sporting an index groove and stepped milling for a more contoured feel. A simple, robust, integral frame lock mechanism is cut from the back providing secure lockup and safe use. Construction is completed with matching black  titanium hardware and lanyard hole cutouts. Both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number. Includes an S3 Hard Case and Certificate of Creation and Authenticity.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, black PVD 3D titanium pocket clip.

CPM-S35VN: A modified version of S30V designed for improved toughness over and easier machining and polish. Toughness is improved roughly 15-20% with a slight decrease in wear resistance (edge retention). Corrosion resistance is also lightly higher, close to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel for daily use.
