Medina Custom Knives Thumbstud Hellcat Raindrop Damascus

This is the first Thumbstud Hellcat model from custom maker Fernando Medina of Medina Custom Knives...and it's sweet. He crafted the blade from Chad Nichols stainless Raindrop Damascus and gave it a two-toned finish. Excellent fit and finish and a piece of history from this young up and coming knife maker.

The Blade: This penetrator is hollow ground to shaving sharpness with a wicked tip from that beautiful Nichols Damascus. He let the dark, dazzling pattern show through on the grinds while hitting the flats with a shiny satin effect leaving the raindrops faintly in the distance. This is the first non-flipper Hellcat model opening via a single striped thumbstud on the show side. It rests centered in the closed position and flies open on a ball bearings pivot system. Smooth, elegant and aggressive.

The Handle: Thick slabs of titanium have a full media blast finish with smooth edges and light, subtle texture. The design of this handle just melts into your palm. It's fantastic. More damascus accents this piece in the form of dual pivot collars, back spacer and pocket clip. The maker signed Medina 2017 inside the spacer. Lockup is effortless, solid and just where you want it. 

The Hellcat ships in a hard plastic Plano box with a Lion sticker, business card and signed/dated specs Signature of Authenticity card.
