This unique MSC SMF Custom comes equipped with a two-tone, Nightmare Grind, plain edge 20CV modified Tanto blade and flame anodized titanium frame lock construction.

Blade: The modified Tanto blade is made from high performance CPM-20CV with a two-tone finish with machine satin on the compound "Nightmare" hollow grinds and "Manhattan Project" texture on the flats and spine. The shallow hollow grinds and false edge top delivers unstoppable piercing capability, while a deep hollow primary grind ends in a razor sharp plain cutting edge for optimal slicing performance. The top of the spine has jimping that extends to the frame, enhancing traction. The blade opens smooth on phosphor bronze washers via the oval blade hole. The iconic Strider choil is signed M. Strider. 

Handle: Both sides of the handle are made from solid titanium with an integral frame lock that delivers rock solid lock up. This custom version comes with a full blasted and flame anodized finish on flat handle slabs for a unique subdued look and solid feel in the hand. The knife is completed with satin finished titanium hardware including the barrel spacers, chain ring bolt pivot and over-travel stop. Comes complete with an MSC embroidered nylon zipper pouch for carry and storage.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, Strider-style black titanium pocket clip with MSC laser etched logo.

CPM-20CV: CPM-20CV (analog to Bohler M390 and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
