The L.U.D.T. (Large Underwater Demolition Team) out the side automatic knife model from Microtech has been a favorite among Spec Ops and first responders for nearly 20 years. This version features a straightforward drop point blade in Microtech's Apocalyptic finished Bohler M390 and grooved OD Green anodized aircraft grade aluminum handle.

Blade: The shape of the LUDT is all about utility, offering just over three inches of cutting edge and a piercing pointy tip. It's great for everyday slicing, slashing and penetration cuts whenever called upon. A little over an inch of notching on the crowned spine creates a welcomed thumb ramp. High performance Bohler M390 stainless steel is delivered with a rugged, blasted and tumbled Apocalyptic finish that is discreetly non-reflective while hiding wear. Razor sharp, the blade deploys fast and smooth via the button actuated coil spring automatic mechanism.

Handle: Constructed of hard anodized, aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum for lightweight durability, the handles of the LUDT are comfortable and secure by design. It has a slight notched finger choil below the pivot along with machined grooves and notches to ensure a solid grip in any environment. The button lock is simple, smooth and reliable for rock solid lockup. Construction is completed with Microtech's proprietary hardware and installed black nylon lanyard. Each LUDT is individually serialized and dated on the front of the blade.

Bohler M390: A popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its exceptional edge retention, M390 has a good corrosion resistance for minimal maintenance. Another great feature of this steel is the ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
