Built for everyday cutting and sized to carry, this Microtech MSI Mini has a two-tone M390MK sheepsfoot, black-coated with satin-ground flats. The scales are fluted orange aluminum, and the RAM-LOK crossbar locks it open.

• Two-Tone Black M390MK Sheepsfoot Blade - Bohler makes M390MK for Microtech, a premium stainless with strong edge retention and good rust resistance. The blade is flat-ground, and the black coating stops short of the ground flats, which stay satin.
• Fluted Orange Aluminum Scales - The scales are machined from aluminum and anodized orange, and the flutes cut across them leave a medium texture with a little bite to it. An oversized lanyard hole runs through the rear of the handle for a cord or fob.
• RAM-LOK Crossbar & Thumb Studs - The blade opens off thumb studs on both sides and locks up crisp, with no blade play. The RAM-LOK drives its steel bar with one coiled spring where most crossbars use a pair of flat omega springs, and Microtech says the coil holds up better.
• Standard Torx Hardware & Deep-Carry Clip - The hardware is standard Torx, so a common driver sets the pivot tension or moves the clip. The stainless clip rides deep, sits tip-up, and mounts to either side of an already ambidextrous knife.

The Microtech MSI Mini RAM-LOK

The Microtech MSI Mini RAM-LOK is the compact build of the first platform to carry the RAM-LOK crossbar lock. The MSI arrived in 2023 as a hard-use manual folder made in the USA, and the Mini brings the same lock down to a frame built around pocket carry. Designing in house let Microtech leave the bar exposed and the platform is specified around ordinary hardware and leaves maintenance to the owner.
