Microtech Ultratech Black M390 Bayonet CC Black OTF Automatic Knife 120-1

The Ultratech dual action out the front automatic knife from Microtech sets the standard for the category. This version has a black contoured handle, two-tone M390 Bayonet blade and gray hardware.

Blade: Equipped with a two-tone black/satin finish, the 3.44 inch (8.74 cm) Bayonet blade has a plain standard cutting edge with partial top cutting edge. The Bayonet is extra pointy and made from high performance M390 steel. The two grinds have a black Cerakote coating while the flats were left satin. Operating on a double action mechanism the blade is deployed by simply moving the thumb slide on the side of the handle up, reverse to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear. The action is smooth and fast.

Handle: Smooth, Black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum has contoured edges creating not only a comfortable feel in-hand but a smooth transition in and out of your pocket. There are several areas of machine-grooved texturing around the outsides aiding in grip. This lighter more ergonomic grip is easy on the hands and eyes. The handle's construction is completed with Microtech's proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and blasted pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
