This Microtech Ultratech Gen IV pairs a Bazooka Green Cerakote M390MK dagger with a Magpul OD Green Cerakote aluminum handle. A full-size double-action OTF automatic, it runs plain symmetrical edges to a fine point.
- Bazooka Green Cerakote M390MK Dagger Blade - Dense carbides hold an edge longer than most stainless steels, which ranks M390MK as a premium powder-metallurgy steel and means a diamond or CBN stone to bring it back. The double-edge dagger wears Bazooka Green Cerakote, a sprayed green coating rather than a bare blade finish.
- Magpul OD Green Cerakote Aluminum Handle - Machined 6061-T6 aluminum forms the contoured chassis, finished in Magpul OD Green Cerakote, a dark olive drab. Stainless Torx hardware holds the assembly together, and a glass breaker caps the rear of the handle.
- Dual-Fuel Drive Train with Crud Kutter Tech - Push the slider and the blade fires hard, out and locked before your hand finishes moving. That drive train runs both directions of travel, and the Crud Kutter channel clears debris out of the action.
- Milled Titanium Clip & Ambidextrous Carry - A milled titanium clip rides on ceramic balls and holds tension without chewing up a pocket seam. It can be swapped to either side for true ambidextrous carry.
The Microtech Ultratech Gen IV
The Microtech Ultratech Gen IV is the flagship of an out-the-front line dating to 1999, a full-size double-action automatic whose engineering goes into the firing mechanism. The platform runs a firing spring that sits at rest in both the open and closed positions, which takes load off the internals between uses. Microtech fits the Dual-Fuel Drive Train to that travel in the Gen IV and adds the Crud Kutter channel, so grit reaching the handle has somewhere to go besides the action. The design serves a thrusting tool — a double-edge dagger carrying symmetrical edges to a fine point, built for piercing. The blade travels the axis of the handle in both directions, so an owner lands the point on target with the grip in line.
