Blade: Equipped with a Black Cerakote ceramic coating, the drop point has a plain single cutting edge. The drop point is utilitarian and performance orientated, made from high-end CTS-204P stainless steel. Dual fullers and a top swedge offer added visual appeal. The sub-3 inch blade features a double action mechanism for smooth and fast operation. Simply move the thumb slide on the side of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: Smooth, tan coated 6061-T6 aluminum has rounded edges creating a comfortable feel in-hand and smooth transition in and out of your pocket. The UTX-70 is slimmer than the Ultratech or UTX-85 allowing it to be carried in a watch pocket or shirt pocket as well as via the clip. The handle's construction is completed with Microtech's black proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production.

CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, CTS-204P has some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance available. CTS-204P is similar in performance to CPM-20CV and Bohler's M390.
