Mike Irie UC-1 Urban Carry Satin CPM-154 Yellow and Black G10 Fixed Blade 4734

The Mike Irie Custom UC-1 (Urban Carry Model 1) is a light, fast, everyday carry with a full size length. The harpoon recurve blade is well suited to hunting and outdoor use as well as defensive carry and general utility. As with all of Mike's work, the knife has excellent fit and finish. This version has a hand rubbed satin CPM-154 blade and yellow and black G10 handle scales.

Blade: The hand rubbed satin CPM-154 blade is hollow ground with a harpoon point for piercing strength and a big belly recurve edge for powerful slicing. An index choil and jimped thumb ramp offer solid control during use.

Handle: Layered G10 scales are secured to the full tang via a single stainless pin and a hollow tube which allows for lanyard attachment. Both scales are polished and contoured for style and comfort while the ergonomic handle fits securely in the hand. A bird's bead pommel and dual index finger grooves provides a solid grip for serious use.

Carries via a carbon fiber pattern Kydex sheath with integral belt loop.

CPM-154: A particle metallurgy (PM) version of Crucible 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process. A great all-around blade steel, CPM-154 has D2 level edge retention, AEB-L level corrosion resistance and comparable toughness to other PM stainless steels with ease of sharpening/finishing.

Mike Irie is a custom knife maker from Colorado Springs, Colorado who has been making knives full-time since 1991. He apprenticed under his father-in-law, Barry Wood. Irie is a member of the Knifemakers Guild and the Professional Knifemakers Association. Maker Irie handcrafts both fixed and folding blades.
